Enroll in the program and you’ll join a group of peers (limited to 18) to complete key six leadership courses:

  • Communicating for Leadership Success | February 9 | 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
This foundational course helps leaders communicate effectively so they can spark action in others. The course teaches leaders the interaction essentials they need to handle the variety of challenges and opportunities they encounter every day in the workplace and beyond.
  • Building and Sustaining Trust | February 23 | 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
This course introduces Trust Builders, actions leaders can take to build and sustain trusting relationships, as well as common Trust Breakers that can erode or quickly break trust. Applying these skills to build trusting relationships enables people to take risks, identify and solve problems, and collaborate to achieve business results.

  • Addressing Poor Performance | March 2 | 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
This course builds leaders' skills in handling chronic performance problems. They learn how to document and present a solid case for needed improvement and use effective interaction skills. They identify the steps to take after the performance problem discussion to provide ongoing feedback and support, and determine if it is necessary to impose formal consequences.

  • Driving Change | March 9 | 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
This course provides the skills and resources leaders need to accelerate the process of implementing change with their team members and to create an agile work environment where people are more open to change.

  • Maximizing Team Performance | March 16 | 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
This course focuses on how leaders can work with their teams to build the infrastructure that enables maximum performance. Leaders gain experience in diagnosing and applying the five Team Success Factors—Results, Commitment, Communication, Process, and Trust.

  • Adaptive Leadership | March 23 | 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
This course teaches leaders how to enhance the effectiveness of their interactions by adapting their approach to people based on what they want to discuss and how they think people will respond. By better meeting the needs of each individual, leaders create higher levels of engagement and organizational results.

Please note that there will no class on February 16; there will be a bye week for Presidents' Day.

As you move through the curriculum with a consistent peer group, you share learning on a deeper level. This team-based format builds an invaluable skillset in today’s workplace.

The Program includes ongoing action items prep work, peer check-ins, and on-demand virtual reinforcement activities.

Our live, instructor-led classes are designed for, and rely on, active participation to ensure a quality learning experience. Because of this, these sessions will not be paused and will not be recorded for future use or reference.

What if you miss one of the sessions?
You have one or two options to make up a class. For any class, you can have a 1x1, hour-long phone coaching session with the instructor to learn and practice the materials. For the first three classes, you also have the option to complete a two-hour web-based version of the class. The fee for both options depends on your organization’s membership level. You can also choose not to complete the make-up session, but you will not receive the certificate and display cover upon completion of the last class.

Cohort participants may cancel registration in the Management Academy up to 31 days prior to the first session for a full refund. For cancellations received 15 to 30 days before the first session, 50% of the program fee will be refunded. There will be no refund for cancellations received within 14 days of the first session. Partial refunds will not be issued for any missed cohort sessions.

Gold members using their credit code must cancel per the above time limits to have their credit reinstated.

Technology Minimums for Attending Virtual Training

Archbright provides virtual training to our members so that they can attend courses from most anywhere, but each attendee must ensure that they are working from a location that has the necessary connectivity to the internet to facilitate participation.

Internet connectivity minimums

To ensure that you have a positive experience attending an Archbright University virtual course, you should verify that your internet connectivity provides a minimum of 5 Megabits per second (Mbps) in upload speed. Most internet packages for home-use are advertised by their download speed and not upload speed, and while this can be important for streaming movies or music, it isn’t the only consideration. For using WebEx, Skype for Business, or any VTC solution, the upload speed is just as important as the download speed.

How can I tell what I currently have?

If you are unsure what you currently have, please reach out to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and request the information directly.

If they are unable to give you that information, please visit www.speedtest.net while connected to the internet in the same manner you intend to attend the virtual training…and perform a speed test.

Wireless technology minimums

Additionally, if you connect wirelessly, as many of us do, make sure your wireless router can broadcast at the same speed as your upload speed, if not even higher.

Wireless routers can broadcast at over 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) these days, and many companies don't upgrade your router when you upgrade service. This often means that your wireless speeds are significantly lower than the upload speed that is available to you. This can cause significant issues with using WebEx over your wireless connection.

Other considerations

Remember that each device connected to the internet in your location is taking some of that download and upload capability and wireless connectivity. If you have many devices in your network, it is recommended to have significantly higher speeds to accommodate the increased traffic.

Please contact your internal IT team if you have any questions.
